Carol Ann Snow, President and CEO of the Central Coast Visiting Nurse Association and Hospice, has led the agency since 2000. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in nursing at Niagara University, NY and her Master’s in Nursing at University of Rochester, NY and has held a variety of managerial positions in different organizational settings. Active in the California Association for Health Services at Home (CAHSAH), she chaired the Board of Directors in 1995-96 and received CAHSAH’s Lois Lillick Award in 1994 for outstanding contribution to the Home Health Profession. She is a frequent speaker at CAHSAH’s annual conference and at the annual Medicare documentation workshops, and has been honored both nationally and within California for her outstanding contribution to the home health profession.

The non-profit Central Coast VNA and Hospice is the largest and oldest home health agency in Monterey and San Benito counties, providing more than 75,000 home health visits each year thoroughout a 4,720 square mile area. For over 53 years, VNA has offered traditional home health and hospice services as well as specialized programs in pediatrics, cardiac, obstetrics, psychiatric, mom/baby, telehomecare, and sexual assault response team. VNA also operates a Hospice program and three Adult Day Centers in Salinas, Seaside and Monterey for the frail elderly and other disabled adults, including those with stroke and Alzheimer’s. It is the only agency in the region with a specialized pediatrics team to give in-home health care for children.

The agency provides care to all who are in need, within available VNA resources as provided by generous gifts from the community, and has field offices in Salinas, Hollister, and Monterey. Details are available on the VNA website: www.ccvna.com.
