VNAA Affiliate Membership

Affiliate Membership connects your nonprofit home health or hospice agency with the only nation-wide network of other nonprofit homecare and hospice providers. As the only national representative for nonprofit, free-standing homecare and hospice providers, VNAA facilitates unique networking opportunities, targeted education programs, specific and effective legislative and regulatory advocacy, and cost-saving group purchasing opportunities.

Overview

Affiliate Members are nonprofit, free-standing home healthcare and hospice providers.  VNAA was created to support, promote and advance the mission of our Affiliate Members who provide high-quality home healthcare and hospice to all members of their communities, regardless of the ability to pay.  Affiliate embers are the foundation of VNAA, and the focus and primary beneficiaries of our member services, legislative and regulatory advocacy and education programs.  In order to qualify for Affiliate Membership, an organization must:

  1. Complete an Affiliate Member Application.
  2. Be a nonprofit, tax exempt 501(c)(3) and 509(a)(1) or 509(a)(2) provider of home health and/or hospice services.
  3. Have an independent Board of Directors.
  4. Provide a community benefit (providing care regardless of the ability to pay).
  5. Be approved by the VNAA Board of Directors.

Why should my agency become a VNAA Affiliate Member?

There are many ways that VNAA membership can benefit your agency. One of the highest-rated member benefits is the legislative and regulatory advocacy and advice provided by our experienced and accessible government affairs staff.

Your agency can also benefit from the networking and information sharing that takes place in the VNAA community through workgroups, listservs and weekly updates.  Additionally, your membership would allow your entire staff access to VNAA's free educational programs and CEUs; group purchasing programs including flu vaccines and telemonitoring services; discounts on the VNAA Nursing Procedure Manual and Annual Meeting registration; and access to VNAA staff who can help navigate regulatory issues, offer advocacy advice and assistance, consult with your agency on PR, marketing, and fundraising advice, and provide you with resources to answer clinical and administrative questions to help you run your agency more effectively and efficiently.
