4 Million Reasons To Celebrate: National Nurses Week, May 6-12

Today, as National Nurses Week 2019 begins, VNAA and ElevatingHOME extend our special thanks to the 4 million registered nurses nationwide, as they continue to provide the highest level of quality care to their patients. We celebrate nurses worldwide for their vast contributions, positive impact, and dedication to making a difference in the lives of people everywhere.

“Gratitude is the essence of National Nurses Week. It is a moment in time to collectively pause and purposefully make time to express gratitude to the nurses in our lives,” said Daniel Pierotti, Vice President, Quality and Research at VNAA and ElevatingHOME. “I am grateful for every one of the millions of registered nurses, licensed practical/vocational nurses, advanced practice nurses, and student nurses in this country and around the world.”

National Nurses Week begins each year on May 6th and ends on May 12th, Florence Nightingale's birthday. Beginning in 1993, the American Nurses Association declared May 6-12 National Nurses Week as the national week to celebrate and elevate the nursing profession. We encourage you to join in the celebration and show your support for nurses everywhere. Be sure to use the hashtags #NursesWeek and #ThankaNurse to join the conversation online!
