Donate to the VNAA!
The Visiting Nurse Associations of America (VNAA) is a national association that supports, promotes and advocates for community-based, nonprofit home health and hospice providers that care for all individuals regardless of complexity of condition or ability to pay.
We offer many ways to provide others with the same compassionate quality care given to you or a loved one by a nonprofit visiting nurse.
Your contribution to the VNAA will help provide community-based home health and hospice agencies with educational opportunities, legislative backing, clinical and quality improvement tools and resources to enhance their overall home health and hospice programs. By donating to VNAA, you are investing in our mission to ensure that they are able to continue their significant work and to maintain their long tradition of providing quality care to all who need it.
Your gift will go directly toward helping our members – home health and hospice agencies that serve patients like seventeen-year-old Ana. Since birth, Ana has experienced the constant pain and medical complications associated with cerebral palsy, reflux and seizure disorder. For as long as she could, Ana’s mother Rose cared for Ana by herself, but when depression and back problems made this impossible, Rose sought help from a VNAA member agency.
Now, Ana receives nightly care from several specially trained VNA nurses who manage her symptoms. Due to this care, Ana continues to live at home, go to school, and spend time with her family – a life that might not be possible otherwise. The services provided by these VNA nurses also help Rose, who now has enough energy to care for both Ana and the rest of her family.
Your gift to VNAA will be used to help us provide education and advocacy for nurses, physical therapists, and other clinical professionals who care for the millions of vulnerable patients like Ana who rely on health care services in their homes. Through this work in support of our members, we aim to create a world in which patients receive quality care in a way and place they choose.

Bequests or Legacy
Bequests (gifts given through wills or living trusts) are often the most realistic way for donors to provide a substantial contribution to the VNAA in the future. Gifts through your will or trust can be a particular item, dollar amount, or a residual percentage of your estate. Before you set-up your bequest, contact our Finance Team or call 202-384-1420 for more information.
Your company may have an employee-matching gift program that will match your employees, dollar for dollar. Inform VNAA if you are interested in participating and be sure to make your participating employee's name on the donation form. Participate in the Matching Gift program now!
VNAA accepts charitable donations of appreciated stock. If you've owned a corporate stock for at least 12 months, and give the stock to the VNAA, the IRS allows you to deduct its full market value without paying any tax on the long-term capital gain. Obviously, this benefits both you and the VNAA! You get an additional tax deduction and the VNAA gets a larger gift than if you had sold the stock, paid tax on the gain, and given the remainder to the VNAA. Before you request a transfer, contact Finance Team or call 202-384-1420 for more information.
