This is the sequel to the Home Care and Hospice Speaker Series: An Overview- Common Distressful Symptoms at the End of Life offered on July 23. This presentation will illuminate participants with an overview of best practices in assessing and addressing common distressful symptoms at EOL: Delirium, Depression, Fatigue, Hemorrhage, Nausea/Vomiting, and Wounds.
After completion of this training, participants will be able to:
1. Describe current state of symptom management in end of life care
2. Identify evidence-based assessment methods and tools for common symptoms at end of life
3. Describe interventions to minimize distressing symptoms and promote comfort at end of life
